Trofeo Amatori Italiano, III stage, Franciacorta!

The third stage of Trofeo Amatori Italiano in Franciacorta is over: Nataliya Lyubimova is on the podium again!

The racing week-end in Italy was as hot as the present Moscow summer. 48 people took part in qualifications under extremely tough weather conditions. However, the narrow and short track which has practically no space for frequent over-taking enabled only 36 racers to reach the main race. All those who failed in the qualification round in all Trofeo Amatori classes (Base, Pro, 600, 1000) were included in the mixed start grid.

Both pilots of "Yakhnich Motorsport" were successful in the qualification having taken the 24th and 34th positions in their class, and it is a rather good result taking into consideration that the gap between the quickest and the slowest time was only 4 seconds. The girls hoped to improve their positions in the main race but unfortunately they were not very lucky on the start and in the first half of the race Lyubimova and Yakhnich had to work hard in order to win back their positions. The heat, narrow track and, consequently, problems in finding a right moment for over-taking influenced the final results of the race. Though the pilots didn't take the top places, the team interprets this racing week-end in Italy as extremely useful experience: it was important to finish and maintain the positions. Besides that Natalya Lubimova made her fans glad again having taken the 3rd place in STK-35 for the second time. Even in spite of unlucky start, the difficult but very interesting fight for the podium turned out to be successful for the pilot of "Yakhnich Motorsport"!

Nataliya Lyubimova: "I am very happy to be fit for racing again! Nadya and I worked well at the Friday practice and Saturday qualifications following all the coach's recommendations. We are glad to see our results. From race to race the rivalry in our class becomes tougher and tougher. For example, 13 people shared the start grid with my time 1:19!!!! We regard this race as a very important experience for our racing history. We are going on!"

Moscow City Racing

The team "Yakhnich Motorsport" took part in the most beautiful and exciting summer event in the centre of the Russian capital - Moscow City Racing!

It was very hot in the capital that day not only because of the anomalously warm weather but also because the coolest racers - participants of Formula-1, rally "Dakar", drifters and motorcyclists desperately fired up the public in the central streets and embankments of the city. Nine teams of the Russian Championship including "Yakhnich Motorsport" represented Russian MR at that grandiose show!  The attractive girls - Nadya Yakhnich and Natasha Lubimova on the red-and-white bikes in their snow-white uniforms with unique design together with other sportsmen showed to the numerous audience of the show what the real racing drive is!!!! The audience was bananas over it!

During the breaks the sportswomen communicated willingly with journalists and guests of the event. It was very crowded on the paddock near the buses "Yakhnich Motorsport" the whole day: people were taking pictures with Nadya and Natasha by the bikes YMS, were happy to get cherished autographs of the champions on the specially prepared for this event cards and posters "Yakhnich Motorsport", some children were even lucky to sit on the real sport bikes of the team. Besides that, the girls enjoyed special attention of the press and gave a lot of interviews, took part in photo sessions of different Russian and foreign magazines and Internet-portals.

Some interviews with the girls have already gone on the air on the TV-channel "Zvezda" and the portal championat.ru (see here. Soon one can see the pilots of "Yakhnich Motorsport" on the TV-channels MTV, Russia 2, RTV-Podmoscovje, in the video-blog of Alexander Drobin on the site "Za rulem" and also on the British television and an Arab magazine. Copies of the articles and video-materials will be available on our site!

The team "Yakhnich Motorsport" thanks the organizers of the show Bavaria Moscow City Racing and also the MR Committee and personally Alexey Serebrjannikov for the opportunity to take part in such a unique and grandiose event in the centre of the capital!

Nadya Yakhnich is a playmate of French Playboy!

The world-famous magazine for men continues acquainting its readers with the beauty of Russian women motor racing. An excellent photo session and an interview with Nadya Yakhnich appeared on the pages of Italian Playboy last December. This publication turned out a success and the Russian racer got a similar offer from the editor of French Playboy. So, Nadya Yakhnich appeared as a playmate - "the girl of the month" in a July issue of Playboy in France and was immediately nicknamed by its readers as "Russian Leticia Casta". Having caught Nadya's mood, contradictory shades of her many-sided personality Playboy's masters chose different colour palettes, polar colour styles and contrast images for the photo session, so both delicate colour photos and conceptual black-and-white ones appeared on the pages of the magazine.

Nadya Yakhnich: "France will always be considered a country of style, fashion and beauty, that's why, of course, I am very pleased that such an offer came exactly from the French edition of Playboy. By the way, I have always liked French style and most of my clothes are of French brands. So, I enjoyed my photo-session and interview for the French version of the world-known magazine from both professional and personal points of view. I was lucky to work with A1 specialists who, into the bargain, were experts of French style and had refined Parisian taste. It was very interesting experience".

One more win of "Yakhnich Motorsport"!

The second stage of the Russian MR Cup in Brno is over.

Nadya Yakhnich performed very successfully on the Czech track: she upstaged all her rivals in the female rating and also took the 4th position in the class STK-600.

Inspired with her excellent result in Magione a week before (Nadya had taken the second place at the first stage of the Italian Women Championship) the Russian racer improved her last year's results at the first training already. The team's well co-ordinated and professional work was much helpful- the perfectly adjusted bike supported the racer's fighting spirit. As a result in the race Yakhnich was able to overtake the leader of the first stage Mila Korkina on the third corner and held the lead in the female rating to the end of the race being 7 seconds quicker than her main rival. For a long time Nadya hold the 3rd position in the general rating STK-600, but for all that she yielded to Vyacheslav Miroshin in the last lap. Nadya confesses that after the interesting duel she considers Vyacheslav's bronze to be well-deserved. 

Nadya Yakhnich: "The race was super! I am very grateful to my team: the mechanics Artur Korobkin, Vyacheslav Marmazov, the coach Maxim Kiselev, the engineer Taube and my team-mate Natasha who worried about me like mother! Everybody was professional and gave me a lot of encouragement and support. Thank you, it's our common victory!"

The unprecedented event in the history of Russian motor racing: the Russian racer Nadya Yakhnich is on the podium of the Italian Championship!

The team "Yakhnich Motorsport" goes on improving its positions in competitions of the European level and presenting new impressive victories to Russian MR sport.

Only last month the first in the history of "Yakhnich Motorsport" Cup in the frames of International competitions was won - Natasha Lubimova took the third place (STK-35) at the Championship Trofeo Amatori in Mizano. And on 27 June, Monday, the race of the first stage of the Italian Women Championship in Magion presented again to Russian MR one more historic event. The Russian racer Nadezhda Yakhnich took the second place continuing to raise the level of Russian racers' wins at European competitions. It can be considered a really unprecedented breakthrough for Russian MR!

The sportswomen covered 16 wearisome laps in tough rivalry under conditions of the incredible heat showing their fighting spirit and mood for serious contest. The rivals were very strong and the leaders of the Championship, the racers from Italy, seemed to have ideally shared the podium between each other. They didn't expect that the Russian racer would improve considerably her last year's results. Nevertheless the very well trained Russian pilot demonstrated her strong will for victory and a high pace of the race. As a result she was already the 3rd on the first corner and the 2nd on the second one. She fought actively for the leading position but for all that yielded to Hulia Atzory. Frederica Speranza finished third. Nadya Yakhnich won silver at the Italian Women Championship and it is really sensational!

The president of the team "Yakhnich Motorsport" Alexander Yakhnich: "We took most seriously our training for the Italian Women Championship and per se even sacrificed our training for the Russian MR Cup because of what we were not able to perform in Russia as successfully as it would have been desired. But this purposeful training for the race in Italy gave its results. It is the first in the history of Russian motor racing podium of the European level. It is a really sensational breakthrough and step by step we went to this aim for some last years of hard work. It goes without saying that we are all happy and congratulate Nadezhda! We hope that it is just a beginning and are going on working actively".

The pilot of the team "Yakhnich Motorsport" Natasha Lyubimova: "I am very satisfied with the result of my team-mate! Nadya fulfilled all the tasks set by the head-coach and was able to realize faultlessly the strategy which Claudio Corsetti had worked out for this race taking into consideration his experience and knowledge about features of the Italian rivals. Nadya worked like a clock: efficiently, accurately, she started very well and finally showed this perfect result!"

The pilot of the team "Yakhnich Motorsport" Nadya Yakhnich: "Of course I am very happy with the way this race has gone. Besides that a very important and moving moment for me about this race is that this competition is dedicated to the Italian racer Beatrice Bassini who died tragically last year. All of us remember and love her and it is a real honour for me to get the podium exactly in this race".

Results at the first stage of the Russian MR Cup for the team YMS

The first stage of the Russian MR Cup took place on the track in Mjachkovo. It can't be considered very successful for the team "Yakhnich Motorsport". As the busy schedules of training in Russia and racing in Italy coincided the situation was such that the pilots had very little time to adjust their new bikes and get adapted to the features of this rather specific track in Mjachkovo. As a result Natalya Lubimova was seriously injured at the training on Thursday and wasn't able to take part in the race of the first stage. Nadezhda Yaknich's training session didn't go smoothly either - on Monday the racer fell and injured her leg. This injury influenced subsequently the results of the race: at the training Nadja's time was 1'49 but in the race she recorded only 1'52, nevertheless Nadezhda was able to hold her second position. All the week the team had very intensive tempo of work. The mechanics worked very hard fixing the girls' bikes at nights in order the pilots could continue their performance after the falls, so Nadja Yakhnich and Natalya Lubimova are very grateful to them for it!

Natasha Lubimova: "I am satisfied with Nadja's results. She fulfilled the coach's tasks completely. I liked her fighting mood which she demonstrated in the race and I hope that this stage was a good practice for the race in Magione in the frames of the Italian Women Championship. As for my further participation in competitions of this season I am going to recover by the second stage of the Russian MR Cup in Brno".

Alexander Yakhnich:  "Our pilots were not properly prepared for the first Russian MR Cup stage. After their return from Italy they just had time to adjust their bikes. This situation showed that the level of the Russian Championship still requires more active preparation especially as the track in Mjachkovo isn't, unfortunately, so safe as desired. The pilots didn't manage to allot more time for practice in Mjachkovo: the schedule of YMS is really very tight this season and now the girls are more focused on the nearest stage of the Italian Championship. But, nevertheless, the team's results on the Russian track are quite satisfactory".

Nika Kletsky is the silver prize winner of The Russian Cup!

The Kursk cart-circuit which is considered to be one of the best racing tracks in Russia has become the venue of the Russian Cup this year. The spectacular event sponsored by Motul was attended personally by the governor of Kursk. This sport event attracted more than 3.5 thousand spectators and was covered by seven TV channels and about thirty local papers. The programme didn't include only mini-motorcycle and scooter racing but also an exhibition performance of stand-riders, Formula Drift racing and a holiday firework.

Both weekend mini-motorcycle races went off in intense rivalry between the strongest sportsmen of Russia and presented a lot of amazing passings, spectacular accidents and disappointing technical failures to their spectators. The first race was marked by a fascinating duel between two charming girls - the regular participant of the Russian Championship Ekaterina Krasovskaya and the pilot of "Yakhnich Motorsport Junior Team" Nika Kletsky. In each lap the sportswomen overtook each other several times to the applause and cheers of the numerous fans.

At the end of the first race the young pilot of "Yakhnich Motorsport Junior Team" was able finally to draw out and finish second following the winner Sergey Surnakin.

In the second and the final race of the Russian Cup Nika had a head start and was in the lead on the first laps resisting more experienced rivals' attacks.

Having been overtaken by some faster racers and having dropped back to fourth our sportswoman "adopted wait-and see attitude". Finally this tactics proved to be a success: the favourites got carried away by their rivalry and collided on one of the slow corners. The repeated champion of Russia Sergey Surnakin lost his leading position and dropped back to third. Then he lost his concentration and wasn't able to resist Nika's attack on the last corner of the final lap.

In the finishing stretch the pilot of "Yakhnich Motorsport Junior Team" beat her titled rival by half a length, took the third place in race two and became the silver prize-winner of the Russian Cup!

Trofeo Italiano Amatori, stage 2

The second stage of Trofeo Italiano Amatori took place on the track of Vallelunga on 23 May. Unfortunately the sport week-end was marred by a tragic event. A serious accident happened during one of the qualification rounds: a mass collision in which eight people were injured took one pilot's life. Of course, it ruined the participants' positive fighting mood and in the second qualification round the majority of sportsmen couldn't improve in spite of their good morning results.

As for our Russian racers, Natalya Lubimova was able to win back five positions in comparison with her 12th qualification result at the beginning of the race and defended herself successfully on the first corners. But, unfortunately, The Italian racer Emiliano Ferro (  28) lost control of his bike on a slow corner and ran into our pilot on the first lap of the race. So Natalya couldn't continue the race.

Nadja Yakhnich started very well and kept the fighting to the end of the race trying to narrow minimal gaps between her and her rivals, but nevertheless the results of the race didn't come up to the racer's expectations.

Nadja Yakhnich: "Of course, I could have recorded better time, but it must have been the result of my susceptibility and stress: my inner state couldn't help being affected by the racer's death and my team-mate's fall. This race was really difficult from the psychological point of view and therefore it wasn't as successful as I had expected".
